Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By scheduling a pickup or shipping with KirkDon Shipping LLC, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Transparent Terms

1. Agreement to Terms

By using the services of KirkDon Shipping LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), including but not limited to pickup, receiving, handling, packing services, shipping coordination, clearing coordination, storage, delivery coordination, and related logistics services, you ("Customer," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms").

These Terms apply to all shipments, whether booked online, by phone, by email, by WhatsApp, or in person.

2. Services Provided

KirkDon Shipping LLC provides logistics coordination services for shipments from the United States to Jamaica, including:

  • Scheduled pickup services (where available and confirmed)
  • Warehouse receiving and intake
  • Shipping and handling coordination including container consolidation
  • Barcode-based tracking at key operational stages (where available)
  • Coordination of clearing processes upon arrival in Jamaica
  • Notification when shipments are ready for pickup or delivery quotation

Important: The Company does not act as a shipping line, port authority, customs agency, freight carrier, or government entity.

3. Shipping, Handling & Service Fees

All shipments are subject to applicable shipping, handling, and service fees, which may include:

  • Ship & Clear service fees
  • Pickup fees
  • Packing or repacking fees
  • Storage fees
  • Delivery coordination fees

All fees must be paid according to the invoice issued by the Company.

Non-Refundable: Fees are non-refundable once services have commenced.

4. Pickup Services

Pickup services are offered in select U.S. locations and are subject to availability and confirmation.

  • Pickup fees are charged per item
  • Pickup appointments are not confirmed until acknowledged by the Company
  • Additional charges may apply for:
    • Missed pickups
    • Incorrect addresses
    • Inaccessible locations
    • Rescheduling

5. Packing & Customer-Packed Items

Customer-Packed Items

When Customers pack, wrap, seal, or prepare their own items, the Company is not responsible for damage resulting from:

  • Improper packing
  • Internal shifting
  • Leakage
  • Breakage
  • Spoilage

Company-Provided Packing

When packing services are provided by the Company:

  • Liability is limited to the cost of the packing service provided
  • The Company is not responsible for pre-existing damage

6. Container Shipping, Port & Customs Operations

Once a shipment is loaded into a container, sealed, and released to a shipping line or port facility, KirkDon Shipping LLC has no control over the shipment during:

  • Ocean transit
  • Port handling
  • Customs inspections
  • Government examinations
  • Holds or delays
  • Re-routing by third parties

Note: Responsibility resumes only after the shipment is released and returned to the Company's local handling process.

7. Delivery Services (Jamaica)

Delivery services in Jamaica are available for an additional fee and are quoted after shipment arrival based on:

  • Item quantity
  • Delivery location
  • Routing requirements
  • Logistics availability

Delivery pricing is not guaranteed until confirmed.

8. Warehouse Storage Policy

Free Storage Period

Customers receive seven (7) business days of free storage after notification that shipments are ready for pickup.

Storage Fees

After the free storage period, the following fees apply:

  • Barrels: $15 per day
  • Boxes: $10 per day
  • 9. Limitation of Liability

    The Company is not liable for losses or damages caused by:

    • Third parties
    • Customs actions or inspections
    • Delays beyond its control
    • Improper packing by customers
    • Perishable goods
    • Acts of God

    Maximum Liability: Any liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service rendered.

    10. Prohibited Items

    Customers agree not to ship prohibited items including but not limited to:

    • Illegal substances or contraband
    • Hazardous materials
    • Weapons or ammunition
    • Live animals
    • Items prohibited by U.S. or Jamaican law

    Violation of this policy may result in shipment refusal, disposal, or legal action.

    11. Customer Responsibilities

    Customers are responsible for:

    • Providing accurate pickup and delivery information
    • Ensuring items are properly packed (if self-packing)
    • Declaring all items truthfully
    • Paying all fees on time
    • Picking up shipments within the free storage period
    • Responding to Company notifications promptly

    12. Governing Law

    These Terms & Conditions are governed by:

    • The laws of the State of New York, United States for U.S. operations
    • Applicable laws of Jamaica for local operations

    13. Modifications to Terms

    KirkDon Shipping LLC reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

    We will notify customers of significant changes via email or website notice.
